Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Work in a 16-bed ICU within a Trauma III hospital setting,
• Patient ratio of 2:1,
• Unit is supported by a dedicated tech,
• Uses GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and Drager ventilators,
• Documentation completed in Meditech,
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,
• Required to work every other weekend,
• Floating required in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or Compact) required,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required,
• Experience with ventilator and sedation management required,
• Experience with medication titration required,
• Skilled in procedures such as trach placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion,
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration,
• One professional reference required,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients including ventilator and sedation management,
• Assist with trach placements, bronchoscopies, and cardioversions as needed,
• Follow patient experience protocols including AIDET, communication board completion, and medication teaching,
• Required to wear charcoal gray scrubs,
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
