Full Time San Diego, CA, US TIG Welder Responsibilities Main Duties Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications Ensure material compatibility with project requirements Utilize TIG welding techniques to create precise and aesthetically pleasing welds Apply finishing techniques (grinding, polishing, etc.) Collaborate with designers, engineers, and the fabrication manager to understand and problem-solve new projects Attend model review and kickoff meetings with engineers Create solutions to enhance project feasibility and eliminate waste Approve final project assembly to ensure no rework and fit within budget Identify early if estimated time is at risk of not being met and propose efficiency solutions Ensure all projects are built off verified field dimensions Layout Projects Collect, review, and ship all parts and components purchased Create a fabrication succession list coordinated with other departments Coordinate with tool manager for consumables and tools needed Analyze and discuss (if needed) the process requirements for fabrication, loading, shipping, and installing project items in parts and/or whole Determine required equipment/tools for on-site installation Determine power requirements for special equipment Coordinate with support team members or any other involved parties to ensure project success Assure parts from other departments match plans and dimensions Delegate and check in regularly with support team members to ensure tasks are performed correctly Daily Operations Cleaning the shop Assembling components Product protection at completion Load, pick up, and deliver materials and finished product Installation on site (local and non-local) Qualifications 3+ years of proven professional welding experience Commitment to safety protocols and guidelines in a workshop environment Valid driver’s license Benefits Full-time position Holiday pay Health, dental, and 401(k) $24-35 per hour based on experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
