Veterinary Technician

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Prior experience necessary. Minimum 1 year experience, licensed technician preferred. We are looking for a fully trained technician to join our team. Provides compassionate care to patients. Performs all duties in accordance with hospital medical policies and procedures. Prepares and maintains the exam rooms and treatment areas. Records observations on patients. Comfortable working in high energy fast paced environment. Gives injections and administers oral medications in accordance with hospital policy. Skilled at blood draw and intravenous catheters. Assists in restraining pets safely and humanely. Performs clinical laboratory procedures such as fecal exams, heartworm checks, and urinalysis; can run in-house blood machine and maintains file of lab test results and ensures that test results are recorded in patient records. Takes radiographs. Assists other staff members as required. Understands and carries out oral and written directions. Maintains positive, cooperative relationships with other employees. Anesthesia monitoring, surgical and dental experience preferred.
