Qualifications for a Speech-Language Pathologist Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders ASHA certification State Speech Pathology License Every state requires all Speech Language Pathologists to have a state license. A Day in the Life of a Speech Language Pathologist As a Speech‑Language Pathologist, you will spend your day helping improve the lives of children.
