Founding Product Designer

In an AI-native world where code is increasingly commoditized, taste becomes the moat. Our customers are the marketers behind the fastest-growing consumer brands in the world; design quality isn't a "nice to have," it's table stakes. This is why we are intentionally hiring a product designer as one of the first hires in Blueberry's history.

As Founding Product Designer, you'll work directly with the founders to shape Blueberry's product, design system, and brand DNA. You'll define how the product looks, feels, and behaves. In doing so, influence how global brands build authentic relationships with millions of customers.

You'll own the end-to-end product design process, from early exploration to polished execution. This role is equal parts craft, judgment, and ownership. What you design early will set the standard for the product and design culture as the company scales.

Design Blueberry alongside the founders and early team, from zero-to-one through early scale

• Design the future of Blueberry alongside the founders, Nima & Sean. You'll work on early feature definition and sit shoulder to shoulder with engineers to ship features and bring them to market.
• Establish our core product design language, system, and identity.
• Translate customer needs (especially enterprise B2C and DTC brands) into elegant, intuitive product experiences.
• Prototype, test, and iterate: jump between "explore" mode (trying bold ideas, rapid prototyping in Figma or code with modern AI tools) and "exploit" mode (perfecting promising features, nailing interactions, typography, and motion).
• Design and ship features end-to-end — from flows and wireframes to pixel-perfect UI.
• Set the bar for taste, usability, and craft across every customer-facing surface.
• Partner closely with engineering to ensure designs are technically feasible, performant, and thoughtfully implemented.
• Engage directly with customers to understand workflows, validate designs, and iterate quickly based on real usage.
• Develop and maintain design documentation to support consistency as the product and team scale.
• Contribute to outward-facing visual work (product marketing assets, animations, sales decks, brand moments) to ensure consistency across touchpoints.
• Help define how design decisions are made at Blueberry, balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
• Build the foundation for future product and design teams by codifying standards, principles, and best practices.

A product designer with 3+ years of experience, ideally in AI-native products, SaaS, consumer apps, or DTC-adjacent tools.

You move fast, take initiative, and care deeply about doing things right.

You don't just identify problems — you roll up your sleeves and solve them end-to-end.

You bring a clear point of view on what great looks like, while staying collaborative and low-ego.

You hold yourself to an exceptionally high bar; 90% isn't good enough.

Entrepreneurial at heart: you thrive in ambiguity and enjoy building from the ground up.

You have strong product judgment and can make thoughtful tradeoffs without perfect information.

You care deeply about the details — interactions, copy, and edge cases — because that's where great products are made.

Design is a priority: We recognize that taste and design will be a core differentiator for who wins this market. You will have the founders' direct support in ensuring this thinking permeates throughout the company.

High-impact from day one: You'll design the systems, flows, and identity that define how the world's fastest-growing DTC brands engage millions of customers. What you create in your first months will be in the hands of category-defining brands.

Experienced Founders: You'll work alongside experienced founders with deep product, engineering, and GTM expertise in the space (ex-Snapchat, ex-Cardless, multi-time founders)

Momentum: In under three months, we're live with 10+ brands and backed by Pear VC and Founders, Inc. You'll be joining at a critical inflection point as we position ourselves to win this market.

Office in SF: We believe the best work is done in person. We cover lunch everyday in our office, and dinner for days you work late.

Competitive Compensation: $150K-$200K, potential for equity commensurate with experience
