Assembly Technician Helper

Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. The Assembly Technician Helper will set up and support hydro testing of pump packages, including connecting units to water test tanks and monitoring for leaks and other operational concerns. The Assembly Technician Helper will also perform cleaning duties and provide general help around the shop. We are looking for someone who wants to work hard and grow within this company, someone who takes pride in their work, who can get set up on their own and deal with the day-to-day tasks. This will be a great opportunity to gain experience and expand your skills! This position is located in Spring, Texas. You will report to the Assembly Supervisor. Responsibilities Perform hydro testing on finished pump packages (training provided) Complete all required documentation as it relates to the duties of the position Support and maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the facility Perform required tasks in a timely manner as instructed Count parts, materials, and help maintain accurate inventory Operate manufacturing equipment (training available) Use a computer as needed to process work orders Daily housekeeping of the shop (organizing, cleaning etc.) Take instructions, adapt quickly and be a team player Adhere to all company policies and procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment Qualifications At least 18 years of age High school diploma / GED, or equivalent additional job experience Know the basics: how to turn a wrench and change a tire Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting Able to stand and kneel for extended periods Able and willing to work in both a warehouse and outdoor environment within different weather conditions Highly motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow, ask questions, seek self-improvement and the ability to manage your own time effectively Retirement Plan (401k) company matches up to 4% of employee contributions Vacation (up to 40 hours Vacation time accrued per year in years 1-3, pro-rated in year 1 based on start date) 8 paid holidays per calendar year Employment will be conditioned upon passing a drug screen and criminal background check. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, sit, reach with hand and arms, and work in a test yard/shop environment for extended periods. Occasionally required to kneel or stoop. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
