CNC Machine Operator

Overview Hiring Experienced CNC Machine Operator | $20/hr + OT | 4-Day Week Hanover, MD | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator with hands-on experience in CNC punch/laser environments. This role is ideal for candidates who can work independently, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure precision in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Required Technical Expertise Strong blueprint reading skills, including interpreting dimensions, tolerances, and revision changes Ability to determine material types, thicknesses, and feature placement from drawings Proficiency with precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and standard measuring devices Solid understanding of CNC punch and/or laser cutting processes Compensation & Benefits $20/hour with overtime opportunities Monday–Thursday schedule (7:00 AM – 6:00 PM) Temp-to-hire with long-term career potential Full benefits upon permanent hire: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO Key Responsibilities Set up, adjust, and operate CNC punch and laser machines to meet production specifications Read and interpret complex engineering drawings to ensure accurate part production Select, install, and maintain punch tooling, ensuring proper condition and performance Monitor machine operations closely, identify irregularities, and resolve minor faults Execute proper machine startup, shutdown, and recovery procedures Load and position sheet metal materials safely while maintaining workflow efficiency Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of CNC punch, laser, or similar machine operation experience preferred Trade school or technical training in manufacturing, machining, or electrical disciplines is a plus Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable transportation and strong attendance record #J-18808-Ljbffr
