Job Description

BAR MANAGER – MILWAUKEE BURGER COMPANY

Eau Claire, WI

LOVE SPORTS? LOVE BEER? LOVE GREAT HOSPITALITY?

We're looking for a Bar Manager who knows a great sports bar isn't built from behind a desk.

It's built behind the bar and out on the floor—when the place is packed, the game is on, the beer is flowing, the bartenders are hustling, and everyone is having a damn good time.

But here's the thing. You also need to know your numbers.

Great beer, great energy, great people, and a profitable bar. That's the job.

If that sounds like your kind of Saturday night, keep reading.

THIS ISN'T JUST ANOTHER BAR MANAGEMENT JOB.

We want someone who takes ownership of the bar. Someone who knows their craft beer, builds relationships with regulars, develops great bartenders, and understands that running a successful bar takes more than pouring drinks and having fun.

You'll be responsible for creating an awesome bar experience while owning beverage costs, inventory, ordering, sales, and profitability.

We believe in The Way It Should Be.

Take care of your people. Take care of your guests. Hold the standard. Have each other's backs. Work hard. Celebrate the wins. And have some fun doing it.

And when a guest asks for something?

Our first answer is YES.

Because that's hospitality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Create a high-energy sports bar atmosphere that people want to be part of.

• Make game days something special. Big games, cold beer, packed bars, and great service.

• Build relationships with regulars and give new guests a reason to come back.

• Know your craft beer. What's on tap, what's trending, and what our guests want to drink.

• Own beverage costs. Know your numbers, hit your targets, and find ways to improve.

• Own inventory and ordering. Accurate counts, smart purchasing, proper product levels, and minimal waste.

• Control overpouring, shrinkage, and unnecessary spending.

• Drive beverage sales through great service, promotions, and a team that knows how to sell.

• Coach, train, and develop bartenders who know their products and love taking care of guests.

• Hold your team accountable while keeping the culture positive.

• Maintain high standards for drink quality, cleanliness, organization, and safety.

• Be behind the bar and on the floor when things get crazy.

• Handle packed houses, big games, weekends, and the occasional beautiful disaster.

• See problems, solve them, and leave the bar better than you found it.

YOU MIGHT BE OUR PERSON IF:

• You love sports, craft beer, great food, and a bar full of energy.

• You've managed a bar before and understand the business side of things.

• You know how to manage beverage costs, inventory, ordering, and profitability.

• You can talk craft beer with the best of them.

• You genuinely enjoy people and know how to make guests feel like regulars.

• You believe accountability and positivity belong on the same team.

• You aren't afraid of difficult conversations.

• You take pride in your bar, your team, and your results.

• You can handle pressure when the building is absolutely rocking.

• You know the difference between being busy and being profitable.

• You don't walk past problems. You fix them.

• You want to grow, develop people, and be part of something great.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

• Competitive compensation $10/hour + tips while bartending, $25-$28/how while managing.

• Performance bonus opportunities

• Health & dental insurance

• Paid vacation

• Free meals while working

• Ongoing development and training

• Opportunities for advancement

• A supportive management team

• A culture where we work hard and have fun doing it

HERE'S THE DEAL.

We're not looking for someone to just make schedules, count bottles, and keep the taps flowing.

We're looking for someone who wants to OWN THE BAR.

Someone who gets excited when the place is packed. Who knows the regulars by name. Who can recommend a great IPA, coach a struggling bartender, spot a cost issue, and still have a blast doing it.

Better beer. Better service. Better numbers. Better team. Better atmosphere.

If you love sports, know your beer, take ownership of your numbers, and can keep the energy going when things get crazy...

We should probably meet.
