NMLS Licensing Specialist (Remote – PST Hours)

Location: Remote (PST preferred)

Salary: 28/hr - 30/hr

Overview

A mortgage company is seeking an NMLS Licensing Specialist to support Loan Officer onboarding and manage licensing activities across multiple states. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, streamlining licensing processes, and supporting business growth through efficient license management.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding of Loan Officers, guiding them through the NMLS license transfer process
• Manage LO license transfers and branch licensing across multiple states
• Navigate the NMLS system to complete filings, renewals, updates, and status tracking
• Validate licensing eligibility for loan origination activities in accordance with company and state requirements
• Support acquisition of new branch licenses across all 50 states
• Maintain strong knowledge of mortgage compliance and state-by-state licensing requirements
• Partner with onboarding, licensing, and production teams to ensure alignment and timely execution
• Manage and optimize internal CRM pipeline for licensing workflows
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with NMLS standards across systems and platforms

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with NMLS licensing processes , including LO transfers and branch licensing
• Proficiency working within the NMLS system (filings, renewals, updates, tracking)
• Strong understanding of mortgage compliance and multi-state licensing requirements
• Experience validating eligibility for loan origination activities
• Ability to manage licensing across multiple states (50-state experience preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Encompass LOS
