Accounting Manager – Consumer Warranty We’re thrilled that you are interested in joining us here at the Amynta Group! We are seeking an Accounting Manager – Consumer Warranty to join our finance team. The Accounting Manager will lead accounting, reporting and control functions related to the consumer warranty segment. This role partners closely with corporate finance, actuarial, underwriting, claims and regulatory teams to ensure financial integrity, reserve adequacy and compliance. The position reports to the Warranty Controller and is based in Ft. Worth, Texas. It is a hybrid role with regular in‑office presence expected. Key Duties Oversee accounting and financial reporting for the consumer warranty segment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including coordination, review and preparation of complex journal entries, reconciliations and analysis Manage third‑party reporting, including carrier reporting requirements Ensure accurate accounting for bordereaux, premium flows, claims funds and insurer settlements Oversee cash management, trust accounts and insurer reconciliation processes Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast; deliver clear variance analysis and insights Provide timely, insightful financial analysis on divisional and business unit performance, including revenue, margin, expense and cash drivers Lead and develop the warranty accounting team, fostering accountability and operational excellence Establish and maintain a robust internal control and risk management framework; ensure effective internal controls are adhered to in compliance with GAAP, ASC 606 and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting Strategically and proactively work with the Controller to provide observations and recommendations for gaining efficiency in operational accounting processes and implementing approved changes Partner with actuarial and underwriting teams to assess reserve adequacy and loss trends Collaborate cross‑functionally with warranty operations, corporate finance and legal/compliance Support internal and external audits and regulatory reporting requirements Drive system enhancements, process improvements and strategic initiatives Manage special projects and executive‑level ad‑hoc analyses Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience within the insurance industry 1–3 years of experience leading accounting teams Strong full‑cycle accounting and US GAAP knowledge to identify and communicate potential issues confidently Extensive reconciliations experience required Ability to produce high‑quality work in ambiguous environments, analytically interpret financial information and improve business processes Strong knowledge of insurance accounting principles and financial reporting Demonstrated analytical capability and sound business judgment Excellent written and verbal communication skills and analytical skills Proven ability to partner effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.) and advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables Preferred: Experience with Workday, Blackline Strong understanding of insurance products, premiums, commissions and trust accounting Experience with service contracts or extended warranty programs Experience working within insurance industry including MGAs, TPAs or insurance carriers Understanding of reserve methodologies and collaboration with actuarial teams External audit experience Equal Employment Opportunity & Accommodations The Amynta Group (the “Company”) is committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of any ground of discrimination protected by applicable human rights legislation.
