Fiber Technician

Fiber Technician II Pay: $22-$27/hour (based on experience) We are seeking a skilled Fiber Technician II to install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and structured cabling systems in commercial and data center environments in Chandler, AZ. Responsibilities Install and terminate fiber optic and copper cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A). Perform fiber splicing, testing, and certification using OTDRs, power meters, and related tools. Troubleshoot cabling, connectivity, and signal issues. Install patch panels, splice trays, racks, cabinets, and cable pathways. Label, document, and maintain cable infrastructure according to industry standards. Support network upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities. Qualifications 2-5 years of fiber optic and structured cabling experience. Experience with fiber splicing, terminations, and OTDR testing. Knowledge of OSP/ISP environments, fiber color codes, and cabling standards. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and riser diagrams. Experience with Cat5e/Cat6 installations and Fluke testing. Preferred Certifications BICSI Installer FOA CFOT or ETA Fiber Optic Technician OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 #westpriority26 Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chandler, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
