System Architect

Tallahassee, FL (On-Site) Please note: Telecommuting is not an option for this position. Compensation Up to $140/hr (C2C or 1099) Overview TekBank Consultants Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Architect to support a multiyear technology modernization initiative for a Florida government client. This position will provide senior-level architecture guidance while supporting the development and implementation of enterprise solutions, including Pega-based applications. This is a fully onsite opportunity in Tallahassee. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available. Responsibilities Provide senior-level guidance regarding enterprise systems architecture, technical priorities, and solution design. Establish and implement architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices. Design solutions requiring integration across multiple platforms, operating systems, applications, and business functions. Review software and hardware architectures, system options, technical risks, costs, benefits, and organizational impact. Develop frameworks for integrating and implementing changes to technical standards. Support and help manage architecture governance processes. Provide technical direction to project teams, developers, analysts, and stakeholders. Assist with systems analysis, solution design, quality assurance, development, and integration activities. Gather, validate, analyze, and document business and technical requirements. Define business workflows and facilitate collaboration between technical teams and business stakeholders. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Extensive professional experience in systems architecture, enterprise architecture, or solution architecture. Strong experience designing and integrating complex enterprise applications. Demonstrated knowledge of systems analysis, software development, quality assurance, and integration methodologies. Experience developing architecture standards, technical frameworks, and governance processes. Strong business requirements gathering and workflow documentation experience. Ability to evaluate technical risks, costs, benefits, and business impacts. Excellent written communication, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to work onsite full-time in Tallahassee, Florida. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related technical field. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Pega-based application development or implementation. Experience working on large-scale modernization or digital-transformation initiatives. Experience within government, financial services, insurance, regulatory, or other highly controlled environments. Familiarity with architecture governance, enterprise integration patterns, and cross-platform solution design.
