Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a fast-paced ER setting during night shifts. Collaborate with medical staff to deliver patient-centered care and ensure compliance with all certification requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Render acute emergency nursing care to patients in the ER, adhering to protocols and standards.
• Utilize Epic for charting and document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately.
• Administer medications and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain compliance with certification requirements, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and complete modules during orientation.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid KS or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
• Possess 1+ years of ER nursing experience.
• Be proficient in Epic charting and electronic medical records.
• Maintain current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and other relevant credentials.
• Demonstrate ability to float to similar units as needed and work independently in a high-pressure environment.
