Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available a minimum of two weekends a month. Average hours per week is 40 hours.Responsibilities:Greet all customers with a smile when entering and exiting the storeEnhance the customer experience by engaging in conversation while providing personalized service and consistently meeting the goals of the digital receipt programAccurately scan every item customers are purchasing, ensuring all merchandise is properly rung through and paid for before the customer leaves the storeTreat merchandise with care, and bag purchases carefully and efficientlyPromote the Scheels Visa card and clearly explain all benefitsEnd each transaction by saying "thank you" to every customerProcess returns and exchanges for firearm purchasesComplete firearm background checksAssist with Gun Room housekeepingEnsure all ATF federal laws and guidelines are followedAbility to execute technology-based processes for firearm and/or suppressor transactionsAll other duties as assignedEducation & Experience:The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and/or 1-3 months of cashiering experiencePhysical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objectsScheels cares about the health and safety of our Associates.
