Facility Maintenance

Job Purpose A physically demanding position sometimes requiring heavy lifting and carrying averaging up to 70Ibs. The ability to stand continuously is essential with occasional walking and sitting. The nature of this position will require employee to perform a wide range of physical activities ranging from pushing and pulling heavy objects requiring a potential push/pull force of 100Ibs. to crouching, kneeling, bending and handling. Repetitive motions are also required. Skills Physical Requirements Have the ability to occasionally sit, crawl, reach, twist, push, pull, grip, pinch, crouch/squat, forward bend, forward sit, forward stand, and climb stairs/ladders Have the ability to frequently stand and walk Have the ability to exert light lifting and carrying under 25 lbs up to 33% of the time Have the ability to exert moderate lifting and carrying of 25-49 lbs up to 33% of the time Have the ability to exert heavy lifting and carrying of 50+lbs up to 33% of the time Have the ability to occasionally perform repetitive motion activities such as hand/wrist, forearm/elbow, and shoulder Housekeeping The basic philosophy is "A place for everything and everything in its place." Is expected to keep all maintenance equipment clean and properly stored Should make every effort to keep their appearance neat Quality Must be able to understand who their customer is (both internal & external) and work towards exceeding customer expectations Expected to help others work to produce quality products Perform all maintenance activities with a high degree of quality and craftsmanship Production Responsible for repairing and maintaining all facility and production machinery and equipment Shift to shift communication as applicable Maintain preventative and predictive maintenance programs Assist with training duties Assist in the procurement of maintenance repair parts, equipment and supplies Responsible for maintaining facilities and equipment documentation and drawings Education and Qualifications A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required Three years background in industrial electrical and/or mechanical maintenance with troubleshooting experience Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, new equipment installation, plumbing, and HVAC Troubleshooting knowledge with various automation and PLC controlled equipment such as Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, and DirectLogic PLC's. PLC programming experience a plus Strong problem-solving skills Preventative maintenance experience necessary Strong computer skills preferred Willingness to work on any shift and to work overtime. Team orientated Familiarity (experience preferred) with the following: Packaging operations (box making, bagging, vacuum sealing, shrink wrap) Assembly operations (light pressing, bearing assembly) Welding operations (arc/mig) #J-18808-Ljbffr Dana Corp
