Medical-Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical-Surgical/Tele Registered Nurse to join our team. The position involves working three 12-hour night shifts, from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5. This role requires the flexibility to work every other weekend and may involve floating between units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical/Tele unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, making updates to patient care plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Utilize Epic for patient charting and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Tele Nursing experience required.
• License: Valid South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact Registered Nurse license required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
• Special Requirements: Experience with Epic electronic medical records is mandatory.

Additional Information

• This position may require involvement in emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June to November.
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application for approval based on facility needs.
• The facility allows for one shift to be canceled every two weeks.

The role is situated within an acute care environment equipped with 304 staffed beds, ensuring a fast-paced and dynamic work setting tailored to meet diverse patient needs.
