Compensation and Schedule

• Hourly Wage: $39.00 - $46.50, depending on prior experience, with an additional $2.25 per hour for evening and night shifts.
• Work Schedule: Opportunities available for both full-time and part-time positions, primarily from 10 PM to 6 AM.

Key Responsibilities

The primary role of the Registered Nurse (RN) is to apply the nursing process in planning and delivering direct care to assigned residents. Responsibilities include:

• Planning, directing, and executing shift routines within the assigned nursing unit.
• Observing, guiding, and evaluating the activities of nursing personnel as the designated leader, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
• Assuming "Building Charge" duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing (DON) or their designee.
• Conducting rounds to assess residents' physical and psychosocial well-being.
• Assigning tasks to staff to meet the needs of residents effectively.
• Maintaining open communication with supervisors, colleagues, and incoming shifts.
• Participating in team meetings and addressing performance issues as necessary.
• Reporting any occupational exposures in line with facility policies.

Resident Care Functions

As an RN, you will ensure that residents are treated with dignity and respect. Key duties include:

• Reporting any suspected abuse or neglect immediately, following company policy.
• Administering nursing techniques to enhance resident comfort and well-being.
• Monitoring and documenting residents' responses to medications and reporting any concerns to physicians.
• Keeping families informed about residents' conditions and changes.
• Adhering to emergency protocols and advance directives.
• Contributing to the development and updating of residents' care plans.

Qualifications and Skills

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Colorado.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
• Customer service-oriented with knowledge of effective service techniques.
• Clinical competence in performing assessments of residents.
• Proficient in using computers and electronic devices for documentation and communication.
• Understanding of Antibiotic Stewardship, Infection Prevention, and OSHA guidelines.
