The Paramedic will be responsible for carrying out the mission of Methodist Healthcare, Methodist Medical Transport Team, and goals of assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the patient care continuum.What you will do in this role:Advanced patient assessment and monitoringAdvanced clinical interventions including but not limited to: mechanical ventilation, medication infusions and advanced airway management within the scope of practiceSafe and efficient inter/intra-facility transportClear, consistent and accurate documentation and communicationParticipation in continuous quality improvement initiatives and continuing educationMaintain vehicle readiness through completing daily checks, ensuring cleanliness, and restocking suppliesResponsible for completion and submission of electronic patient care record for each dispatched transport within the specified time frameResponsible for daily base checks, which includes narcotic count.Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility maintaining thorough patient care documentation.Maintains competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills by participating in ongoing clinical experiences.What qualifications you will need:Education: High School DiplomaExperience: Minimum 3 years as a Paramedic.Preferred: 5 years of 911 or similar agency with advanced protocol.Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:Current Texas Paramedic-P, EMT-P, or NREMP-P •BLS within 30 days of hire ACLS & PALS within 90 days of hire2.
