Maintenance Tech - 2nd Shift

Position Overview Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Tech - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate is $36.40 per hour. Shift hours: 1:45pm – 10:15pm. This full‑time position is 40hours per week with potential overtime. Salaries are based on skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What You’ll Do The Maintenance and Facilities technician will be responsible for performing industrial manufacturing mechanical system work including layout, relocation, installation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, building mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. Responsibilities include: Assist Engineers, Project Managers, and other functions on future plant or department layout proposals/Kaizens. Coordinate with SantaAna’s building and grounds contractors as needed. Assist Manufacturing Engineers in developing prototype equipment, manufacturing processes, structural maintenance, and equipment relocation/installation using LEAN concepts, including physically preparing the facility. Assist manufacturing operators and supervisors in troubleshooting manufacturing problems. Assist other personnel with troubleshooting functions to determine the most efficient method for repair of production lines and equipment. Develop and implement improvements to manufacturing or front‑end procedures and processes through improved layout, material handling, or work processes. Assist with the implementation of MESH and utilize MESH tools to drive improvements. Perform general maintenance (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.). Partner with HR and EHS to coordinate miscellaneous activities as needed. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of industrial/facilities maintenance experience or related experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of the work location will be considered (Active Duty Military Service members are exempt). Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. 1–3 years of experience operating a forklift or other powered industrial trucks. Previous experience in Lock‑Out, Tag‑Out procedures. Ability to read and understand facility layouts and construction drawings and capable of interacting with outside contractors. Skills Working knowledge of basic computer systems including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. Excellent verbal and customer relationship skills. Physical capability to walk up and down stairs and ladders, work on feet for hours at a time, move around equipment and buildings, and lift up to 40lbs. Ability to operate a forklift and scissor lift. Knowledge or experience leading projects, conducting root cause analysis, and understanding problem identification and resolution (beneficial).
