An educational setting near Nowata, OK, is seeking a dedicated professional to provide essential one-on-one interpreting services. This part-time position runs weekdays from 12:00 to 3:30 pm CST and offers the possibility of expanding to full-time in the future, ensuring flexibility for your schedule. Both on-site and virtual (VOCO) options are considered—however, on-site availability is preferred.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a current EIPA score of at least 3.5 or higher
• Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in a school environment
• Ability to facilitate clear, accurate communication between students and staff
• Adaptable and eager to support students’ educational and social development
• Comfortable working independently in a dynamic middle school environment
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one interpreting services for a middle school student throughout the school day
• Translate spoken language to ASL and vice versa in classroom and school activities
• Support access to the full curriculum, helping foster an inclusive learning atmosphere
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educational staff as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards
