Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 8 Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours per week Experience: Preferred in acute care facility License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor. Must-Have: Experience in EPIC and CERN Description: Located off the beautiful Oregon Coast, this healthcare provider has been a leading provider in the area since 1950. We are comprised of a critical access medical center, rural health and urgent care medical offices, home care services, and a vast scope of services located throughout the county and the surrounding areas. The community is known for its small-town charm and access to outdoor adventures along the scenic coast. Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines. Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collect relevant data pertaining to the patient's health or situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborate with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients and family members as well as team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate the duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
