Registered Nurse - Med Surg Night Shift

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg unit. This role will involve assessing, planning, and implementing care for patients, along with maintaining high standards of nursing practice. The RN will also provide education to patients and families, ensuring an effective discharge plan is in place.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments and health records.
• Initiate emergency measures in critical situations when necessary.
• Administer prescribed medications and therapeutic measures, including IV therapy and respiratory care.
• Document patient observations, nursing interventions, and coordinate care across disciplines.
• Evaluate patient progress and update care plans as required.
• Oversee LPNs and unlicensed personnel in delegated tasks.
• Maintain a safe and organized unit environment while managing supplies and equipment.

Schedule

This position requires a 3x11.5 night shift schedule, from 7 PM to 7 AM, with expectations to work every other weekend and holidays.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Valid RN license is required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system is mandatory.
