Position: Process Automation Technician - PHWP We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable part-time Process Automation Technician to join our Timken - Professional Experience Program. This role is crucial in assisting with the developing, delivering, and enhancing technical process that support the organization's goals. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with department managers, engineers, analysts, coordinators, HR, finance, and other stakeholders to gather opportunities. Analyze routine administrative tasks and identify automation opportunities; provide business cases, cost impact, and priority rankings. Design, develop, test, and maintain automation scripts and tools (e.g. Python), . Build utilities to extract, transform, and load data from spreadsheets, CSVs, and internal systems. Create simple user interfaces, command-line tools, and scheduled jobs Document code, produce user guides, and write clear instructions for non-technical users. Follow data privacy and security best practices. Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot automation issues. Qualifications and Skills Must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school (undergraduate or relevant post-secondary programs) Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher. Ability to commit to the program schedule and comply with safety and confidentiality requirements. Proven experience in technical training, instructional design, or a related field. Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging diverse audiences. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
