Patient Service Coordinator

Overview The US Oncology Network seeks a Patient Services Coordinator for the Urology Department at Texas Oncology, 5450 Clearfork Main Street, Suite 420, Fort Worth, Texas. This full‑time position is Monday through Friday 7:30 a m–4:30 p m, level 1, 2, or Sr based on experience. This role supports patient intake and administrative tasks in the oncology setting, ensuring a smooth patient experience. Responsibilities Greet patients, check them in, and notify clinical staff of arrival. Explain and collect required paperwork, update demographics and insurance information, and handle co‑pays and balances. Answer, screen and route incoming calls, and take accurate messages for the clinic. Check patients out, schedule follow‑up appointments, and provide relevant appointment information. Record cancellations or missed appointments and reschedule as needed. Maintain a clean lobby, file charts and forms, and keep office supplies available. Adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA, and privacy laws. Other duties as requested, including typing memos and forms. Qualifications Level 1 High school diploma or equivalent. Some receptionist or office experience preferred. Proficient with computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Complete required e‑learning courses within 90 days of start. Level 2 (including Level 1) At least 18 months front‑office medical receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software. Knowledge of practice daily routines and scheduling a plus. Level Sr (including Levels 1 and 2) At least 5 years front‑office medical receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software. Physical Demands Employees must sit most of the day, use hands to touch, handle, or feel, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms occasionally. Lifting and moving up to 30 lb is occasionally required. Visual and hearing acuity is required and may be corrected to normal ranges.
