Field Service Power Generation Technician / Mechanic

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Harrisburg, PA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Completing repair activities on generators or components
• Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
• Performing maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintaining detailed records of service
• Adhering to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintaining own tools

External Qualifications and Competencies

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
• Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
• Startup and repair of bypass transfer switch.
• Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits Base

Salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

Work hours are Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Work hours are subject to change upon business needs.

- A current valid license is required for this role - This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations - This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical - 3 years driving experience - This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use - Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age

- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire - Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
