Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure EngineerMantech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. In this role you will assist with database sizing and management as well as perform routine maintenance and administration tasks on the infrastructure hosting our applications, including our development, testing, training, and production environments. In this role, you will work alongside Software Developers, DevOps Engineers and Data Engineers to build unique software that enables our customer network to safely operate at scale without customer impact.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Deploy, provision, and secure AWS resources including EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, CloudWatch, and VPC, assisting with database sizing, management, and server securityBuild, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins to support continuous integration and deploymentDesign, build, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters to ensure uninterrupted development productivity across all environmentsRun vulnerability scans, patch physical and cloud infrastructure, manage VPNs, and ensure SSL/TLS certificates remain currentMaintain and update software architecture, focusing on secure infrastructure enhancements, system design, operational best practices, and proactive innovationCollaborate closely with peers and customers in a fast-paced environment to enhance performance and scalabilityMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma7+ years of experience working with SQL databases4+ years of experience with Linux or Windows system administration2+ years of experience working with Elasticsearch2+ years of experience working with KubernetesExperience with systems design and scalabilityPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with large-scale, enterprise-class network environmentsExperience designing secure infrastructure enhancements to support new capabilities and performance optimizationExperience working in multi-disciplinary teams alongside DevOps Engineers and Data EngineersStrong detail orientation, problem-solving capabilities, and effective verbal/written communication skillsClearance Requirements: Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for this position.Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
