Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU by monitoring vital signs, managing advanced life support equipment, and executing complex medical procedures. Ensures patient safety and comfort through precise assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor critical drips, ventilators, and life-support systems.
• Perform invasive procedures such as central line, arterial line, and chest tube insertions.
• Assist with bedside procedures including thoracentesis and pericardial drain management.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and execute patient care plans.
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in the electronic medical records system.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, protocols, and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current license in good standing prior to submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU or progressive care experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with telemetry, critical drips, and ventilator management.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Strong organizational and adaptability skills.
