About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for an inpatient/acute care assignment. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients with a variety of medical conditions and collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This role involves working in a fast-paced hospital environment providing therapy services across multiple units including orthopedic, neurological, oncology, post-operative, medical-surgical, and ICU settings. The therapist will work closely with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Speech Therapists (STs), nursing staff, and case management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, assess, and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct patient care in inpatient and acute care settings
• Document patient progress accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge recommendations
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and professional standards

Requirements

• Active Texas Physical Therapist License (pending license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient or acute care experience required
• BLS certification required
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Travel experience preferred but not required
