Home Health Precertification Specialist

To support efficient service delivery in Home Health and Hospice, the full-time Intake and Precertification Specialist will manage patient intake, insurance authorization, and administrative coordination of referrals while working remotely. Key responsibilities Coordinate the intake process for new patient referrals, including insurance verification and scheduling assessments Serve as the primary contact for patients and healthcare professionals regarding referral and authorization status Obtain and document authorization numbers using electronic systems, ensuring compliance with payer requirements Required qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Two years of experience in insurance verification, authorization, or healthcare intake Knowledge of CPT coding and HCPCs related to home health and hospice services Familiarity with the EPIC platform or similar electronic systems Experience with medical terminology and third-party payer requirements Virtual Vocations Inc
