Lead an Outstanding Team. Build Your Future. A well-established and growing small-animal hospital near Little Rock is seeking an experienced veterinarian to serve as Medical Director. This opportunity is designed for a veterinarian who wants more than a traditional clinical role. You will have the autonomy to practice high-quality medicine, mentor a talented veterinary team, influence hospital operations and help shape the long-term direction of a successful practice. About the Practice This progressive, two-doctor hospital provides comprehensive care through advanced medicine, modern technology and compassionate service. Clinical services include: Preventive and wellness care General and advanced surgery Advanced dentistry Cryotherapy Therapeutic laser treatments What You’ll Do Deliver exceptional medical and surgical care for small-animal patients Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to veterinarians and support staff Guide medical protocols, quality standards and evidence-based practices Support surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, urgent care and preventive medicine Help develop a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team Partner with operational leadership to support hospital growth Build trusted relationships with clients through education and compassionate communication Contribute to the long-term clinical and strategic direction of the practice Required Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent Active Arkansas veterinary license or ability to obtain one DEA license or ability to obtain one Strong small-animal clinical and surgical skills Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration abilities Commitment to high-quality, compassionate veterinary medicine Preferred Background Previous Medical Director, Lead Veterinarian or practice-leadership experience Experience mentoring veterinarians and veterinary support teams Strong small-animal medicine, surgery and dentistry experience Interest in long‑term leadership and potential practice ownership Compensation and Benefits Competitive compensation of $170,000–$300,000 $100,000 sign-on bonus Negotiable relocation assistance available if needed Student‑loan assistance Future ownership opportunity Medical, dental and vision insurance 401(k) Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Continuing‑education allowance Professional liability coverage Life and supplemental insurance Employee Assistance Program Access to a strong veterinary mentorship network Why This Opportunity Stands Out This is an opportunity to practice medicine with genuine clinical autonomy while gaining the resources, support and leadership platform needed to build something meaningful.
