Details Acute Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting 36-bed unit with a general patient ratio of 1:4 or 1:5 Mid-level 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation 36 hours per week Every other weekend required Every other holiday required Epic EMR experience preferred Requirements Active MA RN license required Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Acute Medical Surgical required Strong telemetry skills with the ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips Must pass a telemetry competency test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or better Two professional references required: at least one must be from a manager-level or above (not a supervisor), one must be within the last 12 months and the other within the last 3 years A valid, non-expired driver's license required Travel experience highly preferred Additional Information Dedicated to providing an exceptional patient experience through multidisciplinary team communication and a commitment to patient safety Candidates must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) prior to placement; the test may only be taken twice Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate References from fellow travelers are not accepted; at least one reference from a prior travel or temporary assignment is preferred American Traveler Job ID #P-726349.
