Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Specialist

We're searching for a Nuclear Radiology Specialist, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position you will integrate scientific knowledge; The Specialist must demonstrate a detailed understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Nuclear Radiology Specialist must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques. The Nuclear Radiology Specialist prepares, administers and document activities related to mediation in accordance with state regulations and institution policy. Checks room daily for adequate stock necessary to facilitate continuous exam flow. Maintains appropriate inventory as indicated by posted par levels and updates supply lists when items are needed. such as medication contraindications, patient risk for reaction to medications, patient history, laboratory results, insufficient patient preparation, or artifacts. Based on order, determines the type and dose of contrast agent to be administered based on patient's age, weight and medical/physical status. Working independently performs routine and complex, portable, STAT, urgent, on-call and intraoperative cases, while accurately demonstrating anatomy and pathology through proper diagnostic scanning and positioning. Expert knowledge of information management systems. Demonstrates systems functionalities, accurately performs functions independently, and serves as a resource to others. Positions self in challenging situations and responds with confidence, professionalism, and accuracy in the face of multiple demands and shifting priorities. Networking, coordinating activities, become a sought after contacting the person within the working group. Technical diploma Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program required CMRT - Cert Med Radiologic Techngst by the Texas Medical Board AND CT-ARRT - ARRT RegTech Comp Tomography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required for staff employed in Houston: to be completed by September 3, 2025, or within 18 months of entry into role, whichever is later. CNMT - Cert-Cert Nuclear Medical TECH NMTCB required OR N-ARRT - ARRT RegTech by the Nuclear Med Tech American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required. 3 years Radiology experience (any/all modalities) required Since 1954, Texas Children's has been leading the charge in patient care, education and research to accelerate health care for children and women around the world.
