Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders for adult patients in an acute care / skilled nursing setting.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans with measurable goals; adjust plans based on patient progress.
• Provide direct therapy sessions (individual and, when appropriate, group) aligned to patient goals.
• Perform bedside swallow evaluations and manage dysphagia therapy in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Document evaluation findings, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge planning in the electronic medical record; communicate progress with physicians and the care team.
• Partner with rehabilitation, nursing, dietary, and social work teams to support discharge planning and caregiver education.

Requirements

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure (or eligibility) to practice in the United States.
• Availability to start on 09/07/2026 and complete a 13-week assignment.
• Experience providing therapy to adults with speech, language, cognition, and swallowing disorders in acute care or skilled nursing settings preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in documenting patient care in electronic medical records and maintaining professional standards.
