Senior Underwriter

Evaluating and analyzing complex loan transactions, the full-time Senior Underwriter will make informed decisions on loan approvals while ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines in a remote work environment. Key responsibilities Evaluate and analyze complex loan applications and financial documents to determine borrower creditworthiness Partner with mortgage originators and processors to decision mortgage applications and resolve complex underwriting matters Produce detailed Credit Memorandums for the Loan Approval and Credit Committee, clearly communicating underwriting decisions Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience with a High School diploma/GED) 5+ years' experience in mortgage loan underwriting 5+ years' experience in customer service Experience underwriting complex mortgage or property financing loan transactions Extensive knowledge of generally acceptable underwriting and lending practices
