Diagnostic Technologist II

Role Overview: Provides diagnostic radiologic imaging under physician supervision, ensuring radiation safety and delivering high-quality patient care. The technologist operates imaging equipment, processes images for interpretation, and maintains safety protocols to protect patients and staff. Key Responsibilities: Produces diagnostic images, ensuring proper processing and documentation. Maintains radiation safety standards, using appropriate exposure factors and collimation. Confirms correct patient information, orders, and imaging details before completing studies. Coordinates daily workflow, ensuring timely and accurate imaging procedures. Ensures images are correctly archived in PACS and reports equipment malfunctions. Assists in training new staff, students, and ancillary personnel. Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas. Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent; less than 1 year of experience preferred. Knowledge of radiation safety, medical terminology, and imaging technology. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and registered as a Radiologic Technologist in the state. Ability to handle confidential information ethically and effectively. Physical ability to lift 25 lbs, stand, sit, and perform patient care activities as needed.
