Airplane Electronic Engineer (Associate)Company:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring for Airplane Electronic Engineers (Associate) to join the 787 Electronic Systems (Avionics, Integrated Modular Avionics, Network Systems, & Electrical Subsystems) team located in North Charleston, South Carolina.As a member of the Electronic Systems team at BSC, you will develop and support these systems and their components in a sustaining production environment. Project examples include addressing design obsolescence, developing product improvements, supporting production build and test, supporting new customer introduction, and supporting the in-service fleet.Position Responsibilities:Develops and documents moderately complex electronic and electrical system requirements.Designs hardware, software and interface specifications.Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.Assists in monitoring supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.Solves problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 1 or more years’ experience with airplane systemsExperience with Electrical Load AnalysisFamiliarity with Engineering requirements: Definition / VerificationExperience with airplane certification or military specificationsConflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
