Morris, MI, or remotely.A collaborative team that works across trades, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality results.The chance to work with industry-leading tools, including AutoSPRINK, Navisworks, and Revizto.What You'll DoServe as a technical leader on fire protection design, guiding projects from concept through completion.Manage small teams across multiple projects, keeping deliverables, deadlines, and budgets on track.Determine design criteria for a variety of design/build and plan/spec projects.Design and hydraulically calculate complete sprinkler and standpipe systems using AutoSPRINK.Coordinate fire protection design with other building trades for seamless project execution.Review, comment on, and approve fire protection plans and calculations prepared by designers.Partner closely with project managers and internal teams to ensure client and company specifications are met.Seal and sign fire protection plans and calculations for self-designed and reviewed projects.What You BringExperience developing building code concepts and equivalencies, plus conducting plan reviews and field inspections.The ability to present clear, technically sound fire protection engineering strategies with confidence.A track record of building strong working relationships across departments, trades, and clients.Deep working knowledge of NFPA standards and codes, government fire safety standards, and FM Global Datasheets.Proficiency in AutoSPRINK, Navisworks, Revizto, and Microsoft Office.Comfort performing hydraulic calculations and coordinating within 3D BIM environments.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Minimum QualificationsRelevant design certifications (Fire Protection PE license or NICET Certification).An NCEES record, with willingness to apply for additional state licenses.5+ years of fire sprinkler design experience.A valid driver's license, with the ability to maintain it.Good to KnowSome overnight travel is required.Choose your work style: onsite at our Mt.
