Does that sound like you? The Opportunity with McKinstry McKinstry is looking to add a Project Engineer - New Construction to our growing New Construction Mechanical team in Seattle. Project Coordination As a Project Engineer, you will support the Request for Proposal (RFP) and procurement process along with tracking current and future jobs, reviewing contracts, drawings, and specifications. You will also assist with scheduling, developing the scope of work with subcontractors, and preparing monthly financial reporting. Strong sense of ownership and technical soundness are required. Communication You will communicate with general contractors, architects, engineers, and owners, and interact with leaders within the industry. You will work closely with our project management team to solve problems and gain hands‑on experience in the field. Documentation This role will create and respond to requests for information (RFI). You will develop, process, and track equipment, materials, and informational submittals, process change orders, create billing breakdowns, and conduct estimates. What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or comparable degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of construction concepts preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, contracts, proposals, estimates preferred. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite required, working knowledge of Salesforce, ViewPoint, and Accubid preferred. Pay Range The pay range for this position is $29.55 - $48.89 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a non‑exempt role and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
