Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant Manager to join a high-volume, full-service casual restaurant concept serving the Coachella Valley market.

This is a true all-around restaurant leadership position . The Assistant Manager will play an active role in leading both Front of House and Back of House operations while helping drive exceptional guest experiences, team performance, and financial results.

All selected candidates will participate in an 8-week Manager-in-Training program designed to provide comprehensive operational training and prepare successful leaders for long-term growth within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Operations

• Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of daily restaurant operations.
• Lead both FOH and BOH teams to ensure consistent execution of operational standards.
• Manage opening and closing procedures and ensure all shifts are properly staffed and executed.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Monitor restaurant operations during high-volume periods and step in wherever leadership support is needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop restaurant team members.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new employees.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
• Build a positive, accountable, and team-oriented restaurant culture.
• Help identify and develop high-potential employees for future leadership opportunities.
• Lead by example and maintain a strong leadership presence on the restaurant floor.

Financial & Labor Management

• Assist with managing labor costs and staffing levels based on business demands.
• Support food cost, inventory, waste, and product control initiatives.
• Monitor restaurant performance and help implement action plans to improve results.
• Assist the General Manager with achieving sales, profitability, and operational goals.
• Ensure proper cash handling and adherence to financial controls.

Guest Experience

• Deliver a consistently high-quality guest experience.
• Respond professionally to guest concerns and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor service standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create an environment where hospitality and guest satisfaction are a priority.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading both FOH and BOH operations .
• Full-service casual dining experience strongly preferred.
• Strong fast-casual experience will also be considered.
• Experience working in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach and develop restaurant teams.
• Comfortable working hands-on in all areas of the restaurant.
• Must be 21 years of age or older .
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must currently reside in California.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Service or Shift Managers with significant leadership experience
• Other multi-department restaurant leadership positions

Candidates should be comfortable leading large teams, managing both FOH and BOH operations, and working in a fast-paced environment.

Manager-in-Training Program

Selected candidates will complete an 8-week hands-on Manager-in-Training program covering:

• Restaurant operations
• FOH and BOH leadership
• Team development
• Food safety and sanitation
• Labor management
• Food cost and inventory
• Guest service
• Opening and closing procedures
• Leadership and performance management

Compensation & Benefits

• $60,000–$70,000 base salary
