Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid Special Education certification (TOSD + PREK-3 or TOH)
• Proven experience in Autism support and intervention, particularly with nonverbal students
• Previous experience in a self-contained classroom setting preferred
• Committed to implementing functional behavior and communication strategies
• Collaborative spirit to work alongside BCBAs, OTs, PTs, and paraprofessionals

Responsibilities:

• Teach and nurture a classroom of 6 Pre-K–1st grade students with Autism (non-verbal, self-contained)
• Promote independence and growth through individualized instruction and positive behavioral supports
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated team, including paraprofessionals and related service providers
• Maintain clear communication with staff and families to ensure best outcomes for students
• Foster a safe, structured, and welcoming classroom environment
