ARDMS Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ARDMS Ultrasound Technologist to join a dynamic healthcare team in the Midwest region of the United States. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring a variety of medical conditions. Your expertise with ultrasound equipment will be essential in delivering accurate imaging results that support patient treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations following established protocols and standards.
  • Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively during imaging procedures.
  • Conduct patient assessments and gather medical histories to ensure proper examination techniques.
  • Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment and supplies to guarantee optimal functionality.
  • Collaborate closely with radiologists and medical staff to discuss findings and patient care.
  • Document procedures, patient data, and imaging results accurately in medical records.
  • Adhere to infection control and safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist radiologists and qualified providers with special procedures such as biopsies and aspirations.
  • Adapt to changes in workload, procedures, and scheduling as needed.
Education and Certification:
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic health science program or School of Ultrasonography.
  • Registered or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per American Heart Association standards.
  • Completion or willingness to complete the Mandatory Reporter course within six months of hire.
Experience and Skills:
  • Prior sonographer experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in performing a variety of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, and vascular exams.
  • Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent observational and analytical abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
