Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant provides clinical support in a Family Medicine outpatient setting, performing tasks such as rooming patients, conducting well child checks, administering immunizations, and assisting with procedures. The role also includes occasional front-office duties like patient check-in/check-out, phone coverage, scheduling, and managing patient messages to support clinic flow. The Medical Assistant works collaboratively within the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care. Responsibilities:

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations
• Conduct well child checks and wellness visits
• Administer immunizations and assist with clinical procedures
• Manage in-basket tasks and complete necessary paperwork
• Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes
• Provide phone coverage and manage patient messages
• Support overall clinic flow and assist front-office duties as needed
• Chart patient information accurately using EPIC electronic medical records system

Required Skills & Certifications:

• BLS certification
• Medical Assistant certification (MA-C or MA-R)
• Minimum 6 months of relevant healthcare experience
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Ability to work effectively in an outpatient adult clinic setting

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in Family Medicine or outpatient clinics
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs

Special Considerations:

• No on-call requirements
• Compliance with strict attendance policies; no call no show will disqualify candidates from future opportunities
• Must confirm availability for scheduled interview times prior to submission
• Return to office (RTO) policies to be confirmed with hiring manager

Scheduling:

• Monday: 8:00 AM 3:40 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM
• Wednesday: 9:00 AM 5:20 PM
• Thursday: Off
• Friday: 9:40 AM 2:40 PM
• 4 days per week, variable hours as listed
