Mobile Phlebotomist

Recruit MA Watertown, Any street, Watertown, MA 02472, USA. Locations Location: Watertown, MA 02472, USA. Description Full Time Shift: 5:00am - 1:30pm. Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (Based on experience) and mileage reimbursement. Roles and Responsibilities Drive vehicle to client facilities such as nursing homes, as directed by dispatcher. Unload phlebotomy tray and transport to patient’s bedside to collect ordered samples. Accurately identify patient before collecting specimen(s). Collect, label, process, and deliver specimens to the laboratory. Reload equipment and supplies to vehicle for prompt delivery. Communicate regularly with dispatcher to report status and location. Adhere to Universal Precautions and all safety precautions at all times. Maintain required certifications, health requirements, and operational requirements. Keep work area clean and manage supplies inventory. Report any unsafe conditions, complaints, or low stock situations. Accurately maintain time records of hours worked and deliver to company as directed. Manage assigned shift including meal breaks, while following all specimen preservation procedures. Create required records per instructions and use only approved current documents. Make changes to records only per approved instructions as needed. Availability for on‑call evenings, weekends, and irregular unscheduled overtime based on workload or absenteeism. Required Skills Excellent communication and interaction skills with pediatric and geriatric populations. Respectful treatment of patients and residents, acknowledging their rights. Regular attendance and reliability. Current valid State phlebotomy license (if required). Current valid State Driver’s license, valid car insurance, good driving record, and a vehicle in good working condition suitable for daily driving. Proficiency in venipuncture and skin puncture using both vacutainer and syringe techniques. Knowledge of laboratory operations. Ability to maintain sterile, sanitary conditions to prevent contamination. Physical Demands Requirements include walking, standing, handling, speaking, and hearing frequently. Occasional sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 35 pounds may be required. Vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment Work may be in all weather and driving conditions. Must operate safely in accordance with applicable health and safety policies, consistent use of personal protective equipment, and environmental health and safety guidelines.
