Job Description

RECEIVING COORDINATOR

Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Receiving Coordinator for an extrusion company in Chattanooga, TN. The ideal candidate oversees raw material intake as well as finished goods. This is an excellent full-time temporary to hire opportunity.

Pay rate

$17.00 per hour

S chedule and Hours

7:00am – 3:30pm Monday- Friday (may work as late as 5:00pm based on deliveries)

Receiving Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities

Unload incoming freight, including bulk deliveries of raw resin, additives, or metal alloys, using powered industrial trucks (forklifts).
Compare packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders to ensure accuracy in product type, quantity, and weight.
Inspect incoming materials for defects, moisture, or damage prior to storage or routing to the extrusion line.
Log received goods into the company's [Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)] systems. Ensure all storage areas are organized and properly labeled.
Proactively move raw materials to the appropriate production bays to prevent machine downtime.
Adhere to all safety guidelines regarding hazardous materials and forklift operation. Maintain a clean, hazard-free warehouse environment

Receiving Coordinator Qualifications and Requirements

Safely spot, open, unload, and switch bulk railcars is a MUST
1–3 years of warehouse, receiving, or manufacturing experience.
Current certification to operate a forklift and other powered industrial trucks is highly preferred.
Stand for extended periods, walk on concrete, and regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs.
math skills, including the ability to convert fractions and decimals, and fundamental computer skills.
Strong attention to detail to ensure zero discrepancies in high-volume industrial inventory
