Systems Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Systems Design Engineer to design and develop power, motion, and control systems for custom industrial machinery and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design power, control, and hydraulic systems for custom industrial machinery and test stands using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and related tools.
• Perform hydraulic pressure, flow, and sizing calculations; select valves, pumps, cylinders, manifolds, proportional, and servo controls.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring schedules, quality, and customer requirements are met.
• Validate designs through testing and provide technical support for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer training.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and manufacturing teams.
• Prepare drawings, BOMs, engineering documentation, and technical reports.
• Travel to customer sites as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing hydraulic power and motion-control systems for industrial machinery or automation.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic circuit design, component selection, and system sizing.
• Experience with proportional and servo hydraulic controls.
• Knowledge of PLCs and closed-loop control systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, hydraulic schematics, and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, project management, and communication skills.
