Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with pain management issues, developing tailored treatment plans that may include medication management, physical therapy referrals, and alternative therapies.
• Perform routine check-ups, manage chronic pain conditions, and provide treatment for acute pain episodes, ensuring ongoing assessments and adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging studies and lab tests, to facilitate accurate diagnosis and effective treatment interventions.
• Engage in patient education, advising on best practices for pain management, wellness, and preventive care, while offering emotional support and guidance throughout their treatment journey.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care for patients and facilitate referrals when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will primarily work with a diverse patient population experiencing various chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, back pain, neuropathy, and post-surgical recovery. Providing holistic and empathetic care is paramount as you’ll be addressing not only the physical pain but also the psychological and emotional aspects that accompany chronic pain.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Current active licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting, preferably with a focus on pain management or similar fields.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey medical information clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple cases simultaneously while delivering high-quality care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a hospital or multi-specialty practice environment, enhancing the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, facilitating accurate documentation and patient management.
• Hands-on experience with pain assessment tools and treatment modalities aimed at managing and alleviating patient pain.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time position ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
