Job Description

Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) support their patients with everyday problems related to mental health, behavioral issues and emotional problems. Evaluates patients to determine their needs and the support options that can help them. Creates individualized care plans for each patient. Refers patients to community resources to help their specific situations. Collaborates with other care providers to coordinate services. Maintains records of treatments and services. Provides talk therapy. Responds to crisis situations.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: One year of LPC experience preferred

Education: Licensed by the state of Louisiana as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Maintain current BLS (CPR).
