Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Evaluates and assess patients, as assigned, to determine the treatment course to be followed.
• Perform tests and measurements of muscles, nerves, range of motion, posture, strength, ambulation, circulatory, and respiratory status using various mechanical and electrical means.
• Perform and interprets results of tests and measurement of the patient's condition for use in preparing and treatment plan, modifying treatment, and evaluating results of treatment.
• Plan and implement a comprehensive treatment regimen designed to maximize functional potential of the patient.
• Attend continuing education programs on issues pertaining to evaluation and treatment of general musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, neurological problems, both acute and chronic.
• Participate in multidisciplinary ward/clinic rounds, as needed, which includes providing information on patient assessment and progress, and information regarding physical therapy management of patients.
• Communicate, both orally and in writing. Document assessments, goals, patient/family education, progress, and change in treatment or patient condition in medical records.
• Work effectively with treatment team members and other health care providers in coordinating the patient's total care.
• Delegate to and provide clinical supervision for the Physical Therapy Assistant and routinely modify the caseload and treatment plan.
• Supervise the clinical training experiences of technical and professional level physical therapy interns to fulfill educational and professional requirements.

Work Schedule: 8am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
