Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using a blend of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans targeting both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Collaborate with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish unified care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families, enabling them to support progress outside of the therapy room.
• Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Stay updated on field advancements through ongoing education and collaborative learning with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not acquired.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
