Assembly Line Team Leader – 2nd Shift Full-time, Benefits, and Weekly Pay Position Summary The 2nd ShiftAssembly Line Team Leader in West Point, GA supervises team members and reports directly to the Group Leader. This role is essential in promoting positive team dynamics and demonstrating strong leadership. The Team Leader manages the production process within their designated area to achieve company goals while adhering to the company Vision, Core Values, and Employee Guidebook. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS): Lead by example in adhering to safety policies and procedures. Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean working environment. Consistently meet company safety goals. Technical Responsibilities Participate in achieving safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets. Train new and existing employees while maintaining training documentation. Monitor work operations and provide necessary direction. Proactively address production obstacles and recommend process improvements. Understand and apply Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures. Leadership Responsibilities Direct and validate training for team members. Ensure adherence to policies and promote departmental goals. Foster positive relationships with team members and support organizations. Collaborate with the Group Leader to resolve conflicts and enforce discipline. Education High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred. Equivalent work experience may substitute for formal education (2 years of experience equals 1 year of education). Competency Requirements Supervisory Competency Demonstrate effective leadership and management skills. Communicate critical issues promptly and manage conflicts positively. Mutual Respect and Support: Foster a cooperative and respectful work environment. Technical Competency Demonstrate necessary knowledge and skills for assigned duties. Understand relevant processes, procedures, and technologies. Physical Demands and Work Environment The role requires handling continuous parts flow, including pushing and pulling carts. Most work areas are climate-controlled. Physical Task Demands Stand/Walk: Constant (67‑100%) Sit: Rare (1‑5%) Bend/Stoop/Squat: Occasional (6‑33%) Lift/Carry: Occasional (30 lbs max) Push/Pull: Occasional (50 lbs max) Position Requirements and Qualifications 3 – 5 years of relevant experience required. Overtime may be necessary. Assembly experience is mandatory.
